Holy Shi*!!!!!!!!!

I was looking at Google News in the technology section and I came across this...
Apparently IBM is working on this new "frozen chip" that can operate at 500 GHz (no typo!!). To keep the chip from overheating, they "cryogenically freeze the circuit".

For somebody that is reading this and doesn't know how fast that is, a standard home PC CPU runs anywhere between 1-3 GHz. The chip they have developed runs about 250x faster than that. Wow.
