ZX-81 has just released a new update to PSPVBA, a GameBoy Advance homebrew emulator for the PSP, based off a port of the SDL Linux version 1.7.2 of VisualBoyAdvance. This update is made strictly for 2.XX firmware PSPs, offering quite a few enhancements that were once only available in v1.2.X of PSPVBA, which was only compatible with firmware 1.5/1.0 PSPs due to its utilization of the media engine. Great work, ZX-81, and thanks for not forgetting all us 2.XX users!
New features/fixes in v1.1.1 (in regards to v1.1.0) include:
- Improved sound (no more SDL stuff).
- GU access improvement (disabled cache).
- Added option to enable/disable GBA battery/flash save.
- Added new beautiful icons and background designed by Win-Win (Shadow).
- New feature to save and load a distinct setting file for each games.
- Added option to enable/disable the cache with the Graphical Unit.
- Emulator menus reorganisation (new menu for settings).
- Rewrote some parts of the graphics code (faster).
- Bug fix and code cleaning.
