I don't think any of you guys are helping him. Try Lavasoft Ad-Aware SE Personal - it's free and does a great job of removing stuff like adware and spyware, so should fix your uncle's computer. But make sure that, when you run the program, you get the update.

EDIT: Just saw you'd already tried, bit get the letest ddefinition files anyway, and then try NoAdware. It's shareware but I'll try and dig out a code.
