Well idk about anybody else, but i am only getting a few of the old games, my favorites, other than that im using the console for the NEW games and the NEW and INNOVATIVE way to play them. And I will enjoy my remaining $400 somewhere else. I currently have a 360 but that is for games liike madden and halo while still saving $200 from the ps3, simply put I am not going to buy a new console that has a new "format" like blu-ray until "blu-ray" wins the so called "format war". I mean your pretty much screwed if blu-ray fails. With xbox u can delay for the hd dvd add on but if hd dvd fails i can guarantee microsoft wil come with a blu-ray add on. I think this is playing it safe. Also, the ps3 is overall a better system than the other systems (technology wise) in shear power. However I buy game systems to play GAMES and not to say "oh i have a really powerful GAME system but i dont play any games but metal gear solid and gran turismo" I buy game systems to play fun games. And nintendo has awesome games and a brand new innovative way to play them, while keeping in mind that they are trying to sell to the average person and not a computer geek or rich kid that can spend $600 like its nothin. I would buy the wii just for the fact that it is such a great deal. Not to mention zelda and tennis will be awesome on it to name a few of the many games for it.
