Cut-Throat, I flashed my hitachi 46d without soldering anything and I also have the sil3114 chipset which is a pci card. From what I've read the slax disc works on all of them except for the brand new ones that have surfaced recently.

My bad, apparently slax also works on the 0078fk version as well.
