It seems you didn't rename the update before you put it on. If your EBOOT.PBP in the location PSP/GAME/UPDATE is larger than about 10MB, rename it to UPDATE.PBP, open the Generic Dwngrader archive, and copy over the EBOOT.PBP from there.
