Lostprophet has just released his latest 'homebrew' application. However, it's not really a traditional, standalone homebrew, but rather, a patching device for another application.



This Windows executable patches the 'usbcam.prx' file from a firmware 2.71 or 2.71-SE-X firmware so that it bypasses the module checks from the Chotto UMD software. The program updates the module to that of firmware 3.02's PRX file.

The old Revision [A] only updated the file to firmware 2.82. Version [b] updates the module to that of firmware 3.02, eliminating the 15-second limit on video capture. Or, so it should.

Please make sure to read the readme for information on installation and patching. Also, take note of the fact that the alias 'PJPSP', which he used to release the first revision under, is still displayed in the patcher. Good work Lostprophet!
