PSPG Revision [A] Released!

Hey! PSPG (PSPGuides) revision [A] has been finally been released to the public! After ages and ages of mishaps, setbacks, and general laziness, I've finally finished the first release of the guides.

As I've said before, these may be a little rough round the edges in some places; it's still in the 'BETA' stages, if you will. Anyway, I'm still hopeful that these will already be very helpful to newbies on the scene, and people who want to learn a little more.
Here's the contents of the first release:
  • Explanation about firmware; homebrew; bricking; the NAND flash (+ Partitions); UMD drive (+disks); memory stick
  • Capabilities of each firmware: homebrew; official features explained
  • Firmware: Official firmware revision changelogs
  • Compatibility: What types (if any) can any particular firmware run?
  • Downgrading: v1.51-2.00 [MPH] downgrading; v2.01 downgrader; GTA:LCS v2.50/2.60 downgrade; v2.71 TIFF downgrading; v1.50-1.00 downgrading; v2.80 downgrading, TA-082 downgrading
  • Custom firmware (Explanation + installation & use of every single one)
  • CPU and OS modes explained (Eg, kernel, user, VSH)
  • Complete Devhook emulation guide (includes firmware + UMD/ISO emulation)
  • Ripping an ISO from a UMD game
  • USBHostFS installation and use with iRshell; NetHostFS installation and use with iRshell (by Jcoolkatzerg)
  • As a bonus: Emulating Windows 95 on a PSP; Converting PSX ISO's for use with 3.02 OE; Links; 'further exploration'; Great homebrew; Coverting movies for the PSP and transferring them.

If you spot any grammatical errors, things that could be made clearer, any bad layouts, bad HTML, or anything else that impedes the usability or helpfulness of the guides, please say so as a comment in the release post in my blog, or email me at "piers.jones@gmail.com" (no quotes).

If you like them, tell your friends, refer people, and please consider putting a link to the site in your signiature on this or other forums.

Remember, my site has absolutely nothing to do with news and stuff, so don't go there expecting to see a great news post screaming about the release of firmware v3.50 or anything like that. PSPG.co.nr is purely a place where I can keep all my guides organised and easily editable without going through each and every thread just to edit or update it.

Also, coming in the next revision:
  • Updated / New guides (Including the requested "Hacking the XMB icons" tutorial )
  • Offline versions (Possible)
  • EBOOT executable versions for the PSP (Possible)
  • Simple Lua/C programming for the PSP
  • Loads more!

I hope you enjoy them! Show your support by directing people!
