| SemiBricked? Hey all,
Great guide - right up until updating to 3.02 OE-B semi-bricked my PSP. (2.60 -> 2.71 -> 1.50 -> 3.02 OE-A -> 3.02 OE-B) The XMB seems to run OK, but my system info shows a bunch of Japanese characters for firmware version, and resetting default settings doesn't fix it. More importantly, nothing wants to run, not from the GAME150 or GAME320 menu - not even the oeflasher. I CAN run it from recovery, and re-flashed back to OE-A (kept my DATA.DXAR file) - but the firmware version still shows Japanese characters. More importantly, nothing runs - not even UMD games. The same thing happens no matter what I try to run - I get the PSP swirly screen, it feeezes for a bit, then the PSP powers off.
Suggestions? Back to 1.50?
And dumb question: under 3.02 OE (A or B) how are you SUPPOSED to run EBOOT's? From the game menu? Do you need HEN installed and running? Does eLoader still run? I've sort of lost the forest for the trees here...
Doubleposted Message Below:
So I used the Generic Downgrader in the RECOVERY menu to reinstall 1.50, and everything works fine - as 1.50 (so limited UMD support - I guess 1.50 is fine for exclusively homebrew, but not much else). I updated back to 3.02 OE-*A* again, and had the same problem - nothing runs right. Used the downgrader again, and have a stable 1.50 again. I don't want to go back to 2.71, but I don't know what else to do - it looks like the sweetness of 3.02 is going to be denied me. Any suggestions?
(By the way, assuming I ever *DO* get 3.02 OE-B running, and the accompanying ability to run PSX games, is there any legal way to get the Hotshots Golf game from the Playstation store, is I DON'T have a PS3?)
