I used the 2.8 easy downgrader on 3 different PSPs with perfect results. 2 of them are now running 1.5 (they're homebrew only :P) and the other one is 3.02 OE-B . It works perfectly and is completely trustworthy. I even posted about it on Wikipedia
I'll be posting a video on YouTube showing a successful downgrade so check it out.
