I currently have a 3.02 OE-B PSP and am very pleased with the results.
My PSP fw has been 2.00->2.5->2.71->1.5->3.02 OE-B

However, a friend of mine has a TA-082 that he just downgraded to 1.5 using the Dark_AleX method.
I've read in various places that after doing the Dark_AleX downgrade to 1.5, its possible for the TA-082 PSPs to upgrade to 3.02 OE-A/B.

Some people claim to have done it in other forums, including this one.
If it were my PSP, I would have tried it already...but this is a friend's PSP and I want to be 100% sure it wont brick.

Can I get a count of how many people have sucessfully done this, or confirmation that this would actually work?
