gracz54 has just released another version of his PSP MAC address changer! We say change, but it actually only disguises it, not really
changes it, per say. This is because the MAC address is built into the PSP's hardware WIFI card. Regardless, it's all good, right?
Here's the changelog:
* A few bugfixes.
* Added a few checks.
* Added 1.5 version.
* Added proper credits.
To install this application, copy the EBOOT file that comes with the download to, PSP/game150. Alternately, if you don't have a 3.0X firmware PSP, then just upload to PSP/game. Please be aware this application has only been tested on the 3.02 OE firmware, which means you either get it now or risk bricking your PSP since this is untested.
Instructions:
* Run the application and press X to dump the MAC ID.
* Then, grab any hex editor (I use Hex Workshop) and you should see your MAC in hexes at the beginning of the file. Change the MAC to whatever you wish, just don't type in new characters or change anything else except the MAC, because it could brick if you would do so.
* Save the file and run the app again, this time press O and the left trigger to flash the file to the IDStorage.
* Bam, you should have a changed MAC address! If not, well... you will have a nice doorstop.
