Dabomstew has just released a brand new homebrew application for Dark_AleX's custom firmware 3.03 OE-A for PSP. The application lets you edit your PSP's firmware version/number in the "System Settings" for a unique look, which will surprise your non-homebrew using friends!

Here are the instructions for using this application:
- Check that you are on custom firmware 3.03 OE-A before running. This application is for 3.03 OE-A only!
- Copy the 'vc' folder to PSP/GAME or PSP/GAME150 (whichever folder is using 1.50 Kernel).
- Run the application through the GAME menu on your PSP, and read the instructions thoroughly.

The developer, Dabomstew, also said:
"I was able to update 3.02 OE-B to 3.03 OE-A with a custom version on 3.02 OE-B, but im not sure about the updaters to go to a new release on the same kernel eg 3.02 OE-A to 3.02 OE-B. I guess we'll see. If it doesn't work, you can easily change your version back to default."

Expect to see this application being updated for use on future Dark_AleX Custom Firmwares. And remember... this tool flashes to your PSP's flash0. As always, this has the risk of turning your PSP into a paperweight, if things go wrong, so be careful and only use it at your own risk (though our testing has revealed there are no issues).
