I broke my UMD drive :p

Hey everyone, I'm not sure exactly what I did, but my UMD drive has stopped working.

I was BETA testing 0okm's memdump for the new GTA exploit when I had to turn off the PSP and leg it. That's definately not what broke it, though. I'm just telling you this to demonstrate that it worked before.

One of my UMD cases is broken, so I have to push the lever at the bottom down first for it to slide in smoothly. I did it a few minutes ago, but on the way back up, the tiny straw I was doing it with got caught on the spinner, and I had to gently tug the straw away from the device for it to break free.

The problem is that, now, it won't load a UMD. It just sits there. It starts off spinning, then after about 8 seconds, it just slows down and stops.
I've tried reflashing OE-C, leaving the system for 2 hours so any condensation would go, and even fiddling with the spinner.

I have two options:
- Get a new PSP; I'm useless with DIY hardware stuff.
- Send the PSP to Sony for repair...*Gulp* (Though if I send it now, I'll get back a 3.03, right? That's soon-to-be downgradable)

And please don't say "Use ISOs". I have a wide collection of UMDs and I'm not going to turn pirate just because something doesn't work. Besides, I can't even rip the games now.

What do you guys think I should do? I don't really want to do the first option.
