There is a reason for the bricks, and I suggest you do a bit of googling next time. Because the custom firmware is a hybrid of 1.50 and 3.10, it has to have both firmwares on the same chip. This means that almost all of the space is used. This has nothing to do with Sony security. There are about 100 KB free as of the latest custom firmware, even with the Location-Free Player and the Korean Fonts removed (Dark_Alex removed them as of 3.02 so that he had enough space). You cannot write anything to flash0 with out removing something else. You should try removing the Japanese Fonts (about 2 megs become free

) and then writing to the flash.
