I was having the same issue with the web browser causing the Blue Screen.
I rebooted multiple times, all to no avail.
I finally rebooted into Recovery Mode and Enabled the Sony Computer Entertainment logo at boot up, then restarted.
After that, my browser launched just fine.

Why I even thought to enable the SCE logo at startup? I really don't know...the thought just occurred to me, and hey...it worked. :P
