| when changing xmb speeds it can affect the audio and video when playing, one good use is when using the picture viewer you dont need it running at 222mhz you could slow it down but on the other hand if you want to use the mp3player module from irshell and view pictures you could do with speeding up to keep it glitch free.
p.s. the ps1 emu may not be over-clockable or it may be under the class of "game" mode. either way you may be best off under/overclocking using the mp3player as it can be changed on-the-fly.
