Umm.. these have always been accessible. And Dark_AleX does use these. An app like USBsss can mount these via USB, and pj1115 wrote an app to do it back when 2.80 was around.

They're mostly used for PSX stuff and we think the game-save transfer feature might use one of them. It's not really advisable to store stuff in there.

Daniwul, it's not too difficult to do, if you'd like me to tell you. You have to decrypt the VSHMAIN module, modify it, and then set it to load AS WELL as the original module, as it won't pass security otherwise. Using this method, you can also change the font or menu colours, and you can have a 01-12.bmp FULL of full-sized background images. Just PM me for more info. (Don't worry about bricking, we're not touching the 1.50 kernel so we can restore it if need be).
