In order for sony to stop us doing the Pandora hack they would have had to patch either the new PSP's or the batteries. Patching the PSP would be a waste of time for 2 reasons:

1. Sony would have to come up with a new method of unbricking thus making them vulnerable again

2. Someone would hack the patch anyhow.

Therefore the batteries would have to suffer but to be honest the thing that shocke me more was the fact that a batery COULD be patched in the first place. I'm not overly knowledgable when it comes to things like this but when i read the release for Pandoras Battery I was quite surprised that this was how it was done.
