no I bought it off a person that said it needed a new UMD drive, but now Im starting to believe that there was more to it than that. The UMD drive shudnt make it shut off when you close the door with the disc in. there is obviously some other issue more than the drive. like the motherboard is screwed up as well.... wish I could find another motherboard to try. :-(
