LocoRoco Review

Here is my review for the game LocoRoco

Gameplay
The gameplay is very simple and easy to use. You can just pick this game up and play because the game itself only uses three buttons. Your LocoRoco grows as you play and find red flowers but you can split it into smaller LocoRoco to fit into smaller areas and use certain devisces found in their world.

There are also some cool mini games that you can play to earn new things for your Loco House. In the Loco House you can use the pices youearn in mini games and find playing in the worlds to give your LocoRoco pretty much a playground.

there are two more interesting modes in this game:
  • Time attack mode which is unlocked after you get all twenty locoRoco in a level. It's just as it sounds you have to see how fast you can get through a level.
  • and the level editor in which you can make your own levels and share them with other people

Another thing I liked is theer are five different LocoRoco each a different color and each has their own music that is played and the sing.

Graphics
The graphics are kind of cartoonish but that's how they're supposed to be. Just because of that though doesn't mean there isn't great detail in everything such as the enemies, devices the LocoRoco find and use and even the environment

Soundtrack
You will get the music from this game and you'll find yourself singing along to the music as you play too. I know I did. Like mentioned before there are five different LocoRoco and each has there own completely different song and music which gives the game a lot of variety. You can also switch between the different locoRoco between each level to change what music you hear as you play levels. In the LocoHouse there is an option to switch to different songs as well from in the levels. You have to unlock them though by playing and finding this guys called Mui Mui.

Controls
The controls are very simple because the game only uses three buttons,L and R to shift the ground moving your LocoRocos (press both L and R at the same time to make the LocoRoco Jump) and circle to split your LocoRoco up in order to fit into smaller spaces or use certain items found in the world. The simple controls makes it so you can just pick up and play this game.

Story
Like the controls the story is simple too. The LocoRoco are living a nice peaceful life on their planet until the Moja Troop come to take over their world. Now since the locoRoco are peaceful creatures you are actually the world that tilts moving, bouncing and splitting the LocoRoco.

Overall
This is a great game I think. Sometimes simple is good and this games proves it. The different mini games and play modes makes you want to keep playing. I give LocoRoco a 10/10
