I've had that same problem so many times! Here's what you gotta do to fix it:

1. Unscrew your PSP and remove the faceplate.

2. You should see your analog nub section still attached to the faceplate. Try to clean any dust that might be on it.

3. There should be a small rubber-like connector that is right underneath where the analog nub would attach to the main board. Take that little rubber thing out and flip it over. (Be careful, its breakable. Make sure the rubber thing it upside down and not on its side when you put it back in.)

4. This is probably the hardest part. You need to set the faceplate back on and then turn your psp on. Go to the web browser and nudge the analog stick a bit until the pointer is completely still.

5. Now just try hold the faceplate aginst the psp as tight as you can while you screw it back together.


That's what I usually do when mine messes up, but usually not all of that is nessasary. Depending on your problem, you might not have to do step 3.
