I have a psp with firmware 2.5 and I wanted to go back to 2.0 so I wanted to see what would happen if I changed the name of the 2.0 upgrade to 2.6 in a hex editor. In the hex edior all of the 2.0 names were changed to 2.6 and I saved it. Then I put it on my psp and I booted the updater. It starts and the psp logo comes up then it says "The game could not be started (80020148)". Could this be used to run homebrew code?
