Ok so far ive learnt a bit about C++ and i was wondering does it matter that im learning C++ to hopefully produce hombrew apps int he future?

I read somewere C++ is an extended version of C, an upgrade of C if you want to call it that, is this correct?

Should i quit learning C++ and moove to C or can i use C++ to develop homebrew in the future?
