I did the same thing, I was tired of waiting, though many people are doing great efforts to make homebrew work on 2.01+ firmwares !

I sold my 2.01 on ebay and bought a brand new 1.5 one received in 2 days from HK

Now I'm playing Sudoku by Chau, PSPGen and Snes emulators and I'm soooooooooooooo happy !
