PSP Firmware v1.50 to v1.00 Downgrader - Maybe? Yes? No? Almost???

from my site at http://mypspportal.psparchive.de/

"Rumors have been roaming around lately about the v1.50 Firmware to v1.00 Downgrader for the Sony PSP. For you newbs out there who don't know this piece of information, the original PSPs from Japan started off with v1.00 firmware, and this doesn’t require any Sony signature to execute the ability to run homebrew. If there is a downgrader to v1.00 that is currently being developed and it is successful, this could swing open the doors to custom firmware versions which could in turn enable both the new features in the newer versions (2.00, 2.50, and now the new 2.60), as well as the execution of running homebrew and applications.

Please also note that there have been a couple of reports about users who have tryed this and have bricked their PSPs while using this v1.50 to v1.00 downgrade method. PSP Hackers are announcing that only official one-of-a-kind v1.50 PSPs (PSPs which haven't been upgraded/downgraded) will be allowed to downgrade from v1.50 to v1.00 successfully. In other words, if by chance your on of the lucky ones whose PSP was bought in the store as a v1.50 and you've never upgraded to v2.00 and downgraded back to v1.50, the downgrader is reported to work successfully without any bricking or problems (This could also be a rumor, I'm not sure though). Of course all of this is still in the developmental process, so please approach this with caution! I will keep you posted as more information pops up in the PSP Scene."

I posted an article on my site about this but I still haven't found out whether or not this is true because I have a virgin 1.5 psp and I would downgrade to v1.00 if there is a downgrader that actually works.
