HOW TO:Set Up The Eboot Loader, SNES, & Homebew! Alot of people have been asking how to set this stuff up, so ill tell you.
I currently have'nt encountered one error yet using both a FW 2.1, and 2.6 PSP so I thought I might help some of you. Setting up the ebootloader
- First download the eboot loader file.
- You must unzip the files. If you dont have an application to unzip it go to the following URL www.rarlab.com
- Now unzip the files to your desktop or somewhere that you can easily acess the files.
- once you unzipped everything there should be a readme file, and a psp folder in this folder.
-***If you have any saved games on your memory card connect your psp via usb, and save them to your computer because they will be deleted.***
- Now open up the unzipped psp folder. There should be two folders: GAME, and SAVEDATA. Open up your PSP drive and click on the file called PSP. Drag the GAME, and SAVEDATA files from the unzipped folder, and drop them here. (in the PSP folder on your PSP drive)
- Now they will replace your GAME, and SAVEDATA folders on your PSP.
- If you have any saved games they have been copied over, so locate them and put them back into the SAVEDATA folder.
-If you open up the SAVEDATA folder on the PSP drive you should notice 3 folders in the SAVEDATA folder: ULUS10041S5, ULES00182S5, and ULES00151S5. The first one is for the US version of psp but im not too sure about the other ones, but you can find them in the ebootloader readme. Now delete the two that you wont be using.
- Your eboot loader, should be setup now, SO ONTO SNES!
Setting up The SNES emulator
- Download the SNES emulator compatible with the ebootloader. (uo_snes9x_002y32)
- Now that you have that, you should unzip it and place the files somewhere easily accesible on your computer.
- Go into your PSP drive and open up the PSP folder, once you get there enter the GAME folder. In the fame folder create a folder called "SNES9X".
- Open the folder and place the EBOOT.PBP file in here.
- In the folder create another folder called "roms".
- Download yourself some roms and place them into the "roms" folder.
ENJOY Setting up the sega genesis DGEN Emulator, ***By Fart***.
First you will need the emu which ishere.
Setup Guide:
1. Download file
2. On psp make a folder called DGEN in drive:/psp/game/ so that u have drive:/psp/game/DGEN
3. Extract all the files in the DGEN download into the drive:/psp/game/DGEN folder (this means BG.bmp, EBOOT.PBP and Menu.bmp and the readme if u so wish lol)
4. Place roms in this folder aswell...
5. Load up GTA, load the eloader, click 'x' on the dgen option to start the emu
6. Press O on the game u wish to load and away you go! Note: When u attempt to load the eboot/ emulator the psp may turn off and u will have to start it up again, this is normal dont worry, all u have to do is keep trying until u get the emu on, but its worth it!
Special thanks to fart for providing that info^ Setting up Homebrew Games, & Apps.
- So you downloaded a homebrew file. Now what?
- This is very simple actually. All you have to do is go into the file that you downloaded and locate some folders. Try and find a folder called "1.0" if there is a folder in there with the same name as the application. (EX: if you downloaded ThrottleX find the folder in "1.0" called "ThrottleX".
- Finally take this folder and place it in the GAME section of your PSP. Tips!
- A quick tip with loading the eboot loader from the GTA menu, is when selecting the eboot game save, wait like 5-10 seconds before pressing each button.
**Credit To APGunner for finding this- ( As quoted by him) "when loading a eboot i find that if u wait a few seconds after selecting the eboot in the eboot menu and turn it to 333mhz it loads everytime for me."
Please post all questions
