I WOULD ASSUME that the Sound part of Rin and other affected programs use some kind of kernal access, therefore not working on 2.01 but is working on lower version. But i'm kind of crapping on there...

But yes obviously the softwre needs to be re-written to support 2.01(+) firmware.
