Well this should cheer up Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest fans out there! The latest magazine issue of Famitsu has released details on Itagaki Street for PSP. This includes information that a few new FF and DQ characters are going to appear in the title. It's coming out sometime in spring in Japan, no US date set quite yet. Square Enix's games are pretty decent, lets hope this one comes out a gem too.



"The latest issue of Famitsu contains first details on Dragon Quest & Final Fantasy in Itagaki Street Portable. Included in the update is mention of five new characters set to appear in the game: Balthier (Final Fantasy XII), Fran (Final Fantasy XII), Trode (Dragon Quest VIII), Minea (Dragon Quest IV), Manya (Dragon Quest IV). That's right! FFXII and DQVIII characters will be making an appearance this time around! While not providing a full list, Famitsu does reveal that FFVII's Aerith will be joining them in a return appearance.

Outside of the new characters, Itagaki Street Portable includes new maps. Dragon Quest fans can look forward to maps based off Tower of Alexandria (DQVIII) and Dharma Castle (DQIII). Final Fantasy fans can look forward to a stage based off FFVI's Phantom Train.

Itagaki Street Portable is a brand new entry in Square Enix's board game series. In addition to new maps and characters, the game promises new casinos, new modes and even wireless play (it's unclear at this point if it's local area play or 'net based, but we presume the former). A Japanese release is set for Spring."
