Top 10 Reasons Why The Latest "Leaked Firmware 3.0" Pictures Are Fake!

Well, I was debating whether or not to post the pictures since the hour they were released on the Official PSP Community forums. After investigating it, I've compiled a list of reasons why I believe these are definitely faked pictures, but I'll let you decide for yourself.

First off, the developer/Photoshopper of these photos basically stuck his/her foot in his/her mouth by adding "GOLD" to the About screen. The term GOLD is commonly used by software companies to describe a product which is ready for release, and these screens are in no way ready. So I'll consider whatever these pictures showing as pretty much what the 'final release' would look like.

1. PS3 hard drive. Why the update now? The PS3 is not due for a while from now, why would Sony waste resources and further delay the release of the new firmware for a feature which is not even useable for months? That's not Sony.

2. "Music Store" is not a trademarked phrase. I can freely use Music Store where ever I want, whenever I want, and Sony can't sue me for that. So why the fake trademark label?

3. The MAC address doesn't belong to Sony, but rather, some random security company in the US. All PSPs are manufactured in Sony plants, and all PSPs have a Sony Corporation root MAC address. Therefore, the MAC shown is just a random number a Photoshopper created.

4. Under the network icon, it can be seen that the Music Store is highlighted/has a back drop. Then above, we see "www Internet Browser", which should be highlighted/back dropped as well, since it is in the same parent catagory.

5. No AM/PM is visible. Yeah, it could be in 24-hour time, but in US and Japan (where the firmwares are developed), AM/PM is most common. Sketch.

6. Battery charge never dies? The pictures have two different dates, yet exactly the same battery level charge. Either the owner of the PSP with 3.0 didn't play it for a day, or he forgot to change the battery charge level in Photoshop.

7. Some icons missing. No memory stick icon in Game section. No mention of camera support, although in London subways, Sony is already advertising the soon coming PSP camera.

8. MAC address/system software information is off by several pixels. All icon descriptions in the new "A" menu are not correctly placed.

9. "Organiser" is the British/International spelling of the word Organizer. So obviously it wasn't made in the US. The only other place that develops firmware updates are the corporate offices in Japan.

10. None of the fonts are the same as current. Hmm...

Well there ya have it. Not really aiming to sound pessimistic or anything, but how can the entire PSP community trust the pictures of a newly registered member (roughly 10 posts, mostly on his/her own topic) at the Official Playstation Community forums? I know I'm not.
