Hey.

This is a very rare thing to happen, but it has happened to some people, including me, and I had a 2.50 with the problem, so its not only on earlier ones. It is commonly known as the 'flying disc'.
It is a defect in the latching system which holds the umd cover in place, which causes it to pop open randomly, and also pops open if u give ur psp a lil twist.
There's no easy way to fix it as its a manufacturing fault.
Bottom line is, take ur psp back to where you bought it and there should be no problem them replacing it for you, as it is a genuine Sony manufacturing fault.

The only problem with this, is obviously, you would no longer have a 1.50. So its up to you if you wana put up with these faults to keep a 1.50.
