Ok, I have thought of a new downgrader idea.
I need someone with a 2.01 PSP, access to a 2.5 Update game (ie WWF) and a 1.5 or 2.00 update requiring game.

Ok this is a rather simple downgrader, and I am not sure if it has been tried before.

This does have a possible risk of bricking, but not likely.
1) Somehow, keep the UMD detect pin in the umd slot (on the left about half way down in the slot) ie tape it
2) Put a 2.5 Game UMD into your psp
3) Launch the 2.5 update, go to the "Start Update" screen and remove the umd
4) Insert the 2.00 UMD and hit "Start Update"
5) Hope for the best

I am not sure if it loads the entire or partial 2.5 update, but hopefully it reads it straight from umd, so it will load the 2.00 update. Then use MPH's 2.00 downgrader.

I am not guaranteeing that it will work, but its worth a try!
