| With downgrading there is as much chance u'll brick ur psp as there is when you upgrade to another firmware.
You'd need to change the firmware version # to a lower, say...... 1.0, then run the 1.5 upgrade.
But yeah, as stated above, to change the # you need access to the flash, and if we had access to the flash..... there wouldnt be an issue
