| The holes are for mounting external devices (like the furture GPS and such). As for reflashing the psp, I don't think Sony does it through usb. I would think that they have a file on a memory stick, and that there is enough boot code in the bios to reinstall the flash. I truely don't know, but that is far more logical to me.
