when you hooked up the camera, did you make sure it had power? if im not mistaken, im pretty sure that the camera would have to be powered by the two contacts on either side of the usb connector. Maybe someone that has the psp camera should try and make a connector for the pc and see if it shows up.

the two holes ta the right and left of the usb isn't contacts, its just the place you connect stuff so i dont fall off, and dont put pressurre on teh usb

Yes they are. He means the small square gold ones, not the big round ones.

hi there!
back to the topic...
i connected my psp 3.03 to winXP pro, and got the "new hardware" message. I let winXp to try to install drivers, and fail. BUT THEN...

then i saw for a moment a baloon maseage saying something like "Mic Hardware" or "Mic somthing" , and then it became to "Sound Device".

After that, another new harware wizard windows appeared, and again winxp failed installing it. And the system tray usb icon says "the usb device wasn't configured. it can't be used" (or somehing like that, my OS is spanish)

Now, when I try to recreate the first situation, i can't, and my PSP is not a "sound device" no more.
is this a hint?

I'll try in linux tomorrow, and see what i get.
