I started out with Visualbasic lol

Now I'm coding in PHP and C, not planning on releasing anything at the moment.

well, I think I figured out what the problem is. I added some simple debugging code to display the x/y coords for the back layer. It seems that even though you can load a picture that's 512x512, you can only blit it off the visible screen area at a maximum of -480x and -272y. Guess I'll have change the layer tiles to 480x272

ok, another new version (I've removed the older ones)

the scrolling is smooth now, except for some reason the "scrollup" function freezes the middle layer

gah, I've been looking at that piece of code for over an hour and never noticed -- acidentally put the wrong variable in the function. fixed now, and i've updated the .rar
