Idea

Well I had an idea earlier today and I was thinking couldnt you be able to get one of those text comparing programs and see the difference between 2.0 and 2.01 and 2.5. Wouldnt you be able to like delete the security parts out of them??? Since it would be something that isnt in 2.0 but is in 2.1 and you would find the same thing in 2.5?? please dont flame me if I sound really stupid with this idea.

well I have seen a few programs and you could first extract all the info from the
pbp then do it one file at a time and btw you wouldnt do it in notepad you would do it in a program that takes the 2 files and compares them to each other.

ok here is how u do it... dl pbp unpacker and extract from the 2.0 eboot and 2.01 eboot into diffrent folders... the open a hex editor and compare the diffrent data.psar (couse there is were all the firmware files is) now here is were the problem is.. it's only the first few lines that match and the rest is diffrence now.. that is beacuse there is an diffrent encryption in 2.01 so this was a good thought if it weren't for that stupid encryption that sony uses that is diffrent from f/w to f/w

could you do the same consept but run a HB that ran on the psp on version 2.0 that would make a log file of the changes and save it to the memory stick.
maybe not a log file but maybe a debug....
