I have a psp with firmware 2.5 and I wanted to go back to 2.0 so I wanted to see what would happen if I changed the name of the 2.0 upgrade to 2.6 in a hex editor. In the hex edior all of the 2.0 names were changed to 2.6 and I saved it. Then I put it on my psp and I booted the updater. It starts and the psp logo comes up then it says "The game could not be started (80020148)". Could this be used to run homebrew code? we all have tried this many times and its obvious that it did not work. its not just copy & paste. it involves coding
