Points: 15.75 Donate | |  WTF!! HELP MY PSP DOWNGRADED ITSELF TO 1.0!!!
I didnt know the overflow .tif was still in the photofolder. I opened up my photofolder in 2.0 and the overflow.tif started to work. After my reboot i opened up gta with the cheating devise (autostart the cheating devise). And when i restarted my psp and wanted to play gta again it said:
This system software on your psp system is version 1.00. To start, you must update to version 2.00 or later. Do you want to update now?
And when i go to system software it sais: Version 1.00 :S It still looks like 2.0 what is happened to my psp?
THIS THREAD CAN BE CLOSED: I WAS SCARED I BRICKED MY PSP BECOUSE I PLAYED GTA RIGHT AFTER THE OVERFLOW.TIF REBOOT. THIS MEANS YOU CAN PLAY A GAME RIGHT AFTER THE OVERFLOW.TIF THAT IS NEW AND AFTER THE NEXT REBOOT IT IS A FAKE 1.0 .

Points: 15.75 Donate | | | this is true :S:S:S i can do everything without playing the game becouse it sayd that i need to upgrade to 2.0 and im still on 2.0 and everything says that it is 1.0 this is realy scary man. It is realy strange i dont know what is going on.

Points: 1.61 Donate | | | just try running the 2.0 upgrade, it might put it back to 2.0, thats wat the exploit is soposed to do, make ur psp think it is 1.0 wen it is not, so it can run the 1.5 upgrade

And after i rebooted it again it said that it was firmware 1.0 and everything looks like 2.0 :S i cant play games and shit. And 1.5 homebrew doesnt work i tried it.

Points: 3.08 Donate | | | the tif exploit edit a file called version .txt on yer flash, this gets read by the registry.. yer psp is still a 2.0 with all its firmware , just it's refrence has changed ... u can verify this by using file assitant to go to flash0:/data/
copy version.txt to yer msdue then move it to the pc like normal , edit this file
u will see that it says psp ver 1.00 change that to 2.00 ...
should be fine ..
