The SYSTEM.IREG file acts as a FAT table, listing values and directories in the SYSTEM.DREG file. It tells the PSP where a registry entry begins and ends.
Without the SYSTEM.IREG file for the SYSTEM.DREG file you provided, your PSP will not know where to look for values in SYSTEM.DREG, and you risk damaging your PSP. |

Also, be warned that if you try the method I tried, you do so at your own risk. I'm more that willing to do further testing myself and risk bricking my own PSP if it can prevent other people from bricking theirs. |
