Promising EBOOT?

OK, this may have been here before, I've searched though, didn't see it. I was surfing the web when I came across a file "strange_3.00_eboot.pbp". I decided to take a whack at it on my 2.50, and I was suprised with what happened.(It was an update, the name was "PSP Update ver 3.00") I opened it, and it began to start up. The white screen and everything. THEN, it got past the "The game cannot be started" message, the UPDATE STARTED. The screen read "PSP Update ver. ", no version number. But a message reading "The update cannot be started, the data is corrupted UKA9000001 (i think...) while the update screen was still up. So this looks very promising. Can you guys try to mess with this and get it actually running? If not, it's still really neat to watch. I've tested it on a 2.50, so it should work with 2.01, not sure about 2.60.

if that link doesn't work....

jp means just playing. I'm on 2.50, like I already said. I just think if we were going to hack an EBOOT we should build off of this. This is the farthest I've ever seen an unofficial eboot go on a 2.XX...

i've tried on 2.6. white screen, and "update could not be started (UKNxxxxxxxxxxxx)".
Before the eboot ends, you see the "start" button.

Then the psp returns to the XMB.
