look on psp updates that tells u. Thats just the picture.It has to do with a 32mb Samsung nand chip and some guy made his psp run 2 different firmwares.I am not sure but i think thats the story . I really didnt read much of it.

Did anyone know this:

2.60 new "protection" :
if you replace the flash0/vsh/etc/index.dat w/ old ver index.dat
when you power-on you will get a error screen

2.50 new "protection" :
if you replace the flash0/vsh/etc/index.dat w/ old ver index.dat
you will can not lunch update EBOOT.PBP

I think this means no downgrader ever for 2.01+.

It means no downgrader via changing index.dat on 2.50+ PSPs. It still means a 2.01 downgrader could be possible this way.

Or, if we can find a suitable exploit we could possibly flash the PSP as Mathieulh did with his 1.50 to 1.00 downgrader, see link:
