Idea for possible exploit.

First off i would like to make it known that i am in no way a programmer and i am only making a suggestion with the limited knowledge i do have about programming.

As all of you may know, firmware 2.7 blocks homebrew and the only way 2.6 got homebrew was after fanjita found the syscals (please correct me if i am wrong!). Well i got to thinking, could the syscals needed to make a loader be found by comparing the code side by side with 2.6? Or would it take much more than finding the code again?

No. The hole is not broken because of syscalls - the hole itself is gone. There is no GTA savedata exploit on 2.70. Finding the new syscalls for the GTA eLoader would be pointless.

Thinking about it that would be a fun job. Just go on the internet all day and find all the PSP exploits then turn your spy report into sony. Sounds fun and enjoyable (except the entire ruining homebrew for all thingy)

Thats because it was encrypted, the same reason firmware updates dont come up encrypted either.

I also have a question in regards to the encryption on the update apps and the new demo.

Is it similar to a wep encryption key or the encryption keys for halo 2 maps? And if the code were to be broken, could apps be signed in a way similar to signing halo 2 maps?

why dont we use the demo and "Edit" and in edit i mean addon so it will ignor the demo game and load the game we want that way it will be sighned

or we could compare the demo with the update eboots and see what is the same and mybe we can find the key

beucase once you 'edit' it, it changes, and needs to be re-signed as such

if it were that easy we'd have just 'edited' the 2.7 update into a 1.5 one and we'd all be able to downgrade easily.

oh well.
