Points: 41.22 Donate | | | 10.05.06 official press release: CTU OS CTU OS is a homebrew gamethat Butterballer and I are working on. The following is a list of features you can expect, and we welcome to suggestions!!! Basic play
Anybody who has played Uplink:Hacker Elite will have an idea of what a hacking-style game is like. Except they won't know what what CTU OS entails. CTU OS is an OS shell-STYLE application that mimics that of the software seen on the hit series 24.
The player receives various emials from their boss explaining the requirements of the mission, for example 'hack the terrorist' server, download their plans, decrypt them, alert a TACT team, provide schematics of the location' etc. Gameplay
The tasks decribed above are all acheived peices of software that are run from the OS screen. The missio system will be email-style, as discusses
In light of the open WLAN options for all FW (-2.7) I decided to add to playability by including a multiplayer game, hopefully both AD-HOC and infrastructure.
This gameplay will revolve around attack and defend.
Firstly, the defending server must place security measures in place that they think will prevent an attack, dependant on their funds.
The attacker will then make their first attack on the system, and dependant on their approach and software versions, the defender will be alerted or not. Then, its a race against the clock for the defender to block the attackers attempts whilst their tracer runs, as it is for the attacker to gain access to the files they want and download them before they can be traced.
suggestions welcome!

As to the rest of you, thanks for your support, its nice to know theres a demand for a game like this.

butterballer and I (mainly him!) have worked out the kinks in his keyboard module, which as allowed us to progress vastly. In the past 2 days, a bootup, login and base gui have been created, which will form a firm framework for the rest of the project!!! |

Made all the GUI to a high standard in photoshop, so if you need help pm me.
