Killzone Demo Review -Birdman

I was shopping for food at the store when I saw the Official PLaystation Magazine in the magazine holder. At the top it said "KILLZONE DEMO INSIDE!" you just have to buy it, there was a exclamation point! I bought it and started to play as soon as I got home. Even though the whole demo can be finished in 15 minutes, there are some points that the member here should be aware of.

Gameplay:
I guess you could call this somewhat of a bird's eye view of a Halo type game. You play while looking above and using the analog stick to turn around and move. The only buttons i found usable was X, [], and the R shoulder button. X is used to pick up items on the floor, or activate what ever needs activating. [] is your fire weapon; when you are walking around your guns have lasers on them so you know where you gun is facing, and it has a auto lock-on (yay). The shoulder R button is your crouch button. If there is a enemy shooting at you, you can hide behind a box and wait for the pause of his hailstorm of fire to end, then go in for the kill.

Additional Info:
Even though this was a VERY short demo, I found it very interesting because of the grafix. Out of all the PSP games I have seen I would say that the GFX in Killzone is just amazing. Thought the world you walk on is somewhat flat there are pipes and metal building that stretch to the sky and give the world of killzone a great feel. Not only were the grafix amazing but i noticed some physics in the game. When I shot a enemy from above he fell of his platform, hiut his head on a pole and fell back just as a person would in real life. As he fell from the pole he fell towards the dock's water; when his foot hit the water there was a small splash. When the rest of his body sunk into the abyss a splash was made for his body. I really like it when a game shows that is is realistic, but still is fantasy.

OWNED

Conclusion:
From this demo it seems almost like it it just run around and shoot. There is really not alot to do but run/hide/duck/shoot/DIE. I was more of the last one. The actual game is probably different, but i have no way to tell but from the demo. Even though the grafix made me pee my pants, the gameplay was average. I can see this game becoming very amazing if they update some features and add more buttons options. Bcause of its simple gameplay and 3 useable buttons, I give this game a 7.0 out of 10.0.

7.0

I was going to upload the Demo, but thats now been banned. Sorry.
