Changing psx disc for psp problem!!!

After beating FF7 on disc one. i change the eboot pbp and keys bin, but the memory does not load, but creates a new savedata. instead of loading SCUS94476 savedata, it makes a new one that is SCUS944163. also that all of these FF7 eboots are PAL viersion. i just want to know if there is a known problem, so that i can fix it and continue on with the game.

what i have tried so far is copying the MEMCARD 1 and 2 to the created savedata, but could not load the disc 2 eboot and gives an error that i think it was 80000004. i have also tried to rename the folder with the created folders but it becomes corrupted, same goes with copying the files of the first savedata and pasting it to the created savedata that is SCUS944163.

So the main problem is how can i load the savedata of the disc 1 eboot with disc 2 eboot, without creating a new savedata.

try putting the stuff from your first saved game in the new folder.

I have never done multiple PS1 disk games before so this may not work.

I know what the problem is.

You need to remake disc 2 and disc 3 using the same disc code as disc 1.

^_^ that way all three discs can see your save!

The awnser for that question was already posted here! You have to change the code from the CD2 to the same as CD1. There are some apps that do that, you just need to know the code(google it). Go to SAVEDATA folder in your memory stick a try to find the code.

okay new problem has risen!! so i changed the code like u sed, now the new problem is when i had FF7 on my psp, my psp was a different version to wat it is now, wen i look at my OLD save data there are 2 identical files called MEMCARD1.DAT and MEMCARD2.DAT, but wen i look at the new save data of disc 2 there are 2 identical files called SCEVMC0.VMP and SCEVMC1.VMP......i figured that this would be the problem that it wouldn't load my previous data. If anyone has any suggestions or knows the solution to my problem........PLEASE HELP!!!!!! thanx in advance.........

I've had a similar problem. The game creates a new 'SAVEDATA' folder, with new config files and savegame slot allocations. My solution?

Goto the first save game folder, copy the save game files (SCEVMC0.VMP, SCEVMC1.VMP) to the newly created by disc 2 folder, overwriting what is in there.

I don't know about the other naming "MEMCARD1.DAT" etc, that reminds me of the PC saved game data. Perhaps you could just try renaming them, as sometimes it is same content just different naming.

Worse case scenario, I can send my saved game files at the end of disc 1

there is another option of when it comes to ask for disk 2 from disk 1 hibernate eject the memstick, bang it in a reader swap over the eboots and put memstick back in the psp then unhibernate. it'll reload the eboot and load disk 2
