Just finished replaying it so here is my review of God of War Chains of Olympus
gameplay
This God of War game for the PSP feels and plays just like the PS2 games. Granted the controls are slightly different due to the lack of a second analog stick but all the elements from other GOW games can be found here. I do think it could have used more puzzles and the puzzles that were in the game should have been tougher. They were a little easy to figure out.
graphics
There is so much detail in the level just like in the other GOW games. You can see crumbling buildings and stuff moving in the levels' backgrounds. When you and/or enemies attack it looks great. The cut scenes look amazing too.
soundtrack
The music really helps get you into this game. It varies through out the game so you will rarely hear the same music twice.
controls
The controls are very similar to the other GOW games except like said earlier they are slightly different due to no second analog stick but the controls are smooth and easy to use once you get use to holding the shoulder buttons and using the analog stick to dodge
story
This is a prequel to the other GOW games but it has an immense story that explains a little more about Kratos's past and why he keeps fighting. It also fills some holes in the story of GOW2 like when the Titan Atlas mentions that Kratos puts him the his current position. It s kind of a short story but it is a good one.
Overall
God of War Chains of Olympus is a great PSP game and a must own for any God of War fan like myself. I give a 10/10
