socom mic issue

I just bought socom ftb for the psp..and it came with a mic.

as i understand it..there is a massive problem with psp's and mics and i just cant get mine to god damn work

ive messed around with my router for hours and cant figure it out..any tips?

by teh way..my router is the thomson speedtouch 576..theres nothing on portforward.com about it and the sony forum has liek a 100 page thread about it which aint useful atall..just aload of ppl moaning like i am now :P

my shizzle:2.7 PSP (giga pack)
(upgraded cos homebrew doesent intrest me anymore..i use it once and never bother again)
socom ftb and useless microphone that came with it (awsome game tho..espacilly online)
smackdown v raw 2006 (really bad loading times)
wipeout pure (no online play)
gta: liberty city storys (good but same old stuff)
Fired up (amazing ad hoc fun,crap single player)
