Well 2 days ago my cousin seeing everything I have on my psp ends up wanting one. So I took him to best buy to get a psp core pack because I seen the 2.6 DG but never read the part about the new flash problems. So I ended up trying the DG anyway and it bricked his psp. So then I took him to target because I knew that they had a couple 2.0 psps to find out that sony discountinued psp value packs.
So if your looking for a value pack that even shows a letter A-G it might be a little to late. My cousin went and bought a value pack from best buy today and there was no letter on the box. When he turned it on it was a 2.5 and it required him to update his psp to 2.6 to run ANY UMD game or movie.
All I can say is thank god I bought my psp before sony took them off the shelves. Well they still do sell psp core packs that are 2.6 and ALL come with new flash. |

Points: 1.81 Donate | | | Thats what I told him to do but he is only 13 and his mom wont let him buy it off the internet. I am impressed that sony acted so fast after the recent 2.5/2.6 dg. I couldent belive that every old psp value pack just was wiped off the shelves in the whole city. But sony is now offering PSP Value bundles which come with a 1GB mem stick(but no psp comes with teh bundle) and like 10 other things for 80 dollars. |

Points: 100,113.91 Donate | | | at every store (walmart, target, toys r us) they still have value packs. the ones at target r A-F and at walmart G and beyond, cant check the toys r us ones tho |

EDIT: Because the stores I check Best Buy, Circut City, target, gamestop all told me that Sony has Discontinued psp Value packs.

I don't get it. Just downgrade the PSP? 2.6 or 2.5, does not matter........
And the "it required him to update his psp to 2.6 to run ANY UMD game or movie" is total bs. It totally depends on what game/movie that he has bought. Ridge Racer, Metal Gear Acid, GTALCS are some that only need 2.0 or 1.5 fw...
