I have recently bought the PSP official magazine and while reading through it. A section on how the PSP will be a PDA like feature to use with the PS3 in games, here are some snippets as I can't find it on the net and can't be bothered to type the whole two pages out! Remember this is speculation so it may not happen.
so here we go:
Snippet 1 (Killzone)
...............In other words, PSP-PS3 connectivity could herald a new era of seamless gaming, ramping up the tension in titles such as
Killzone as you take cover to fondle your PSP to find your next co-ordinates rather than hit pause, and then scroll through menus at your leisure.
Snippet 2 (GTA and Gran Turismo)
.........Gran Turismo on PSP has been delayed explicitly to enable a more complete hook-up with forth coming PS3 car-fest Vision GT. In fact, we've heard GT Portable has been taken back to the drawing board so that the two games can developed in sync for total connectivity in every aspect of gameplay.
.............It may not be only Formula One that gets a 150 quiid wing mirror (the PSP). Imagine a Gran Turismo with pit-stops where you grab the mechanics computer in the form of a psp to quickly select your tyre changes. Throw in an Eye-Toy and you could even drag and drag car parts around a virtual shops!
Snippet 3 (Grand Theft Auto IV)
..........And it doesn't stop there. your PSP could so easily become the physical incarnation of in-game devices such as PDA's, beepers and a even a phone itself. With grand theft Auto IV confirmed for PS3, imagine the thrill of recieving a real-life call on your PSP with an informant passing on a big deal!
Snippet 4 (Mission Impossible and Call Of Duty)
...................What about a Mission impossible game in which your next goal is sent to your PSP before it self-destructs? Or a tank section In Call Of Duty game with a co-op mode in which you play the main gam,e using the turret veiw on your telly while a friend plays as the gunner watching the action through a slit in the vehicle's hulking armour, represented as the PSP's screen!
Well, it all sounds so good, but I will only write more if people request it if not, then there is no point!
So what do you think about this? Me, well I can't wait, this makes me wish I could afford the PS3!
